Along with several other villagers Lorne Park was amalgamated into the new town of Mississauga in 1968.
The new CIty of Mississauga was formed 6 years later.
With its boundaries of Lake Ontario to the South, QEW highway to the North, Jack Darling Parkin the West and Richards Memorial Park to the East, Lorne Park today is a very exclusive part of Mississauga with estate type lots and million homes. Townhouses in limited quantities can also be found in Lorne Park and needless to say they tend to be in the upper price points.

The original village atmosphere can still be found in Lorne Park and with its easy access to Lake Ontario along with accompanying walking trails and parks, make this a magnet for families although one with a higher price tag than other parts of Mississauga.
